When it comes to the NL Central, we’re usually taking out our pitchforks to wreck everything about the St. Louis Cardinals. The hacking scandal, blowhard fans, and easy-to-hate players just make it so easy and enjoyable — but that’s not where we’re going today.
Why? Because the Chicago Cubs fan above decided to ring in Spring Training by robbing a Chase Bank in Schererville.
Details from NWITimes.com:
The man approached a teller about 1:15 p.m., displayed a handgun and demanded money, Schererville police said. He left with an undetermined amount of cash.
Police were dispatched to the bank at 1801 Kennedy Ave. at 1:21 p.m. and began a search for the man, Cmdr. Brian Neyhart said.
Lake County sheriff’s police helped search the area using a K-9 and a helicopter, he said. Grimmer Middle School was placed on a temporary lockdown as officers checked the neighborhoods north of the school.
Way to go, Cubs fan. A school lockdown and helicopter just because Wrigley Field prices are going to be bananas this season? Come on.
