If you like drama, then the Los Angeles Clippers are the team for you. From Blake Griffin punching out his good friend (and equipment staffer) Matias Testi, former Clipper Josh Smith yelling at Doc Rivers after making threes, and a nasty penchant for horrific, heart attack inducing fourth quarter meltdowns — this team covers all their bases.
But despite all of the perceived dysfunction surrounding this team, they still stand in fourth place in the tough Western Conference. And it’s not just the guys on the floor making a difference; they also have a top-notch dance team in the Clippers Spirit to keep their sellout crowds involved.
In fact, they’re so good that E! is giving them a reality show that is set to premiere in March (details from Deadline):
E! has ordered eight one-hour episodes of original docu-series L.A. Clippers Dance Squad for premiere in early 2016. Produced by Mandalay Sports Media, the series goes behind the scenes of the Clippers’ dance team, chronicling the lives of its rising stars from the hours of auditions and rehearsals to balancing personal lives and relationships.
People absolutely love to loathe this team, but if your dance squad is getting a reality show, you know you’ve made it.
