You probably know MLB player Delmon Young for his infamous bat toss at an umpire in 2006. If not that, maybe his anti-Semitic rant in 2012 while in New York might jog your memory. Up to speed? Good, because we have another Delmon incident to tell you guys about.
Per Local 10 Miami, Delmon allegedly choked a valet attendant after he was refused access to an elevator that led to a club:
The attendant told Young that the club was closed, but Young became irate and said, “Stupid Cuban. Open the (expletive) door. I’m here. Now what?” the report said.
Young walked away, but returned moments later, demanding that the attendant open the door.
After the attendant repeated that the club was closed, Young told him, “I’m gonna (expletive) kill you, you Latin piece of (expletive),” the report said.
But Delmon wasn’t done there. Police were apparently sent to his condo soon after, and were met by a belligerent, half-naked (bottom down) Delmon:
Police were called and went to Young’s condominium, where they knocked on the door. Young opened the door, naked from the waist down, so one of the officers asked him to get dressed, the report said.
Young “was unsteady on his feet and spoke with slurred speech,” the report said.
Police said Young was belligerent and told an officer, “I’ll slap you in the face with money, you (expletive) Cuban.”
Sounds like Delmon had himself an interesting Super Bowl Sunday.
