I said it 24 hours ago. You know how I know Nick Saban is never leaving Alabama to coach any team for any pile of money dumped on his lap? Because he’s willing to completely embarrass himself for 4 & 5 star recruits.
Now 64, there was Saban last night at a home visit with 20-star cornerback Jared Mayden doing the “Wobble” to the enjoyment of the 20-star and his iPhone.
The current way to recruit for college coaches, it seems, is to make a fool out of yourself for their enjoyment because then the recruit will put the video or photo online and the coach, who needs you to keep churning out huge bowl paydays, is actually using you as a pawn in the game of college football.

Oh, and Oklahoma wants this 20-star, too. Looks like they got him a giant mall cookie. Of course the Wobble trumps that thing.

Saban will be 68 or so if Mayden sticks around all four years (which isn’t likely). Saban has more money than he’ll ever be able to spend. His kids will be taken care of for life. Their kids will be taken care of for life.
Why does the guy embarrass himself like this at his age?
I suppose he wants to get seven national titles to surpass Bear. That’s the only thing left at this point in life.
