Are you a Broncos or Panthers fan headed to the Bay Area for the Super Bowl but don’t want to drop thousands on overpriced hotels? If so, good luck with that. Seriously, rooms in the Financial District are running from $800-$1,300 according to Curbed SF, so do your wallet a solid and get creative with your search.

Perhaps make things interesting and go off the grid? Freelance reporter Mike Rosenberg dropped a lead on a treehouse in Burlingame that will only set you back $495 a night:

$495 a night to stay in Burlingame treehouse during Super Bowl week

It’s good for two people, has a television, and is only 38 minutes away from Levi’s Stadium (without traffic).

Details from Doug and Linda (via airbnb):

Our little treehouse (now for grown ups) offers the best of both worlds… securely nestled above it all in a quiet, urban forested canyon with a beautiful view of the Bay – 15 minutes to San Francisco, close to SFO & train station & easy scenic drive to the Pacific Ocean & Silicon Valley.

If you’re feeling uneasy about shacking up in treehouse for a couple nights — get over it. This treehouse looks like an amazing time:
