It looks like wrestling star Diamond Dallas Page, a.k.a. Kaptain Kannabis, isn’t the only athlete to go down the marijuana advocacy route in retirement.
Former Blazers star Clifford Robinson revealed to KOIN 6 that he has become a medical cannabis promoter under the alias, “Uncle Spliffy.” That’s right, the guy you remember as Uncle Cliffy has slightly changed things up in the nickname department.
This news likely isn’t coming out of left field considering Robinson was suspended multiple times for violating the NBA’s drug policy back in the day, but now that cannabis is on an upswing, Cliff’s looking to capitalize.
One of Cliff’s goals is to get NBA doctors to treat players with medical marijuana instead of drugging them up:

If there was a league who would even consider such a thing it would definitely be the NBA. We all know the NFL will never update their rulebook while the MLB cluelessly dishes out harsh penalties of their own (50 games for second-time offenders).
Cliff will be delivering a keynote speech at the Cannabis Collaborative Conference in Portland next month.
