We all thought they were dead when Jimmy Graham shredded his knee in November, and again last Sunday when Blair Walsh lined up for a game-winning, 27-yard field goal, but somehow the Seattle Seahawks are still here.

That’s terrible news to those of us who hate the 12s, but on the plus side, we’ll have the Sea Gals — and Ciara (!) — if Russell Wilson gets his squad to a third-straight Super Bowl appearance. Only cheerleaders — and teams, obviously — from the 1971-73 Miami Dolphins and 1990-93 Buffalo Bills have been fortunate enough to make the trip to the big dance three straight seasons (according to The Seattle Times).

It’s also worth noting that the Seahawks don’t just have stars on the field in Russell Wilson and Marshawn Lynch, as rookie Sea Gal Hope, a former New Orleans Saints cheerleader, was selected to represent the team at this year’s Pro Bowl.

Like every cheerleading squad in the NFL, the Sea Gals also do appearances, which cost $150 an hour. (A 60-minute group show will run you $3,000-$5,000 if you have deep pockets.)
