Legends Football League Adds Expansion Team in New England

The Chicago Bliss’ road to another Legends Football League championship game appearance will get a little tougher next season, as the league announced the arrival of the New England Liberty. That’s right, folks — another team from New England to hate!
Deets from LFL360.com:

“We welcome what has become one of sports best LIVE experiences to Verizon Wireless Arena. New Hampshire and all of New England is rich in football history and fan fare, with the arrival of the New England Liberty, New England natives can now enjoy football year-round’, said Tim Bechert, General Manager, Verizon Wireless Arena.
The Liberty will kickoff April 2016 in the LFL’s Eastern Conference alongside the Chicago Bliss, Omaha Heart and Atlanta Steam, hosting (2) home games at Verizon Wireless Arena with the home opener on Saturday, June 25 vs. Chicago Bliss and the home finale on Saturday, July 23 vs Atlanta Steam.

If any ladies are interested in trying out for the squad, the press release states there will be an open tryout on Dec. 19 at Turf Time Tewksbury.
