The J.T. Barrett OVI arrest video has been released and shows Barrett trying to avoid a police checkpoint, performing a sobriety field test and a cop laughing when he hears that Cardale was coming to get Barrett.
Barrett (who was slightly over the legal limit of 0.08 for legal drinkers) asked the cop if there’s anything he can do and you have to give the Columbus PD credit on this one, there was no real break on this one.
“My intention is to not take you to jail. That’s about the best I can do for you,” referencing that he’d release him to Cardale.
