On Tuesday, the Dallas Cowboys made the depressingly lateral move to bench “quarterback” Brandon Weeden in favor of Matt Cassel.
Weeden responded to the move today, and according to The Dallas Morning News, “pursed his lips” while he dropped these lines of gold:
“How do you think I feel?” he said one day after losing his role as the Cowboys’ starting quarterback. “Obviously, I’m pissed.”
“They know I am pissed,” he said.
The former Browns quarterback has led the Cowboys to three straight defeats since replacing Tony Romo, but we guess he thought his 70-percent completion rating would fend off Cassel.
No worries about pissy Weeden though! He says he won’t be sulking it up on the bench Ryan Mallett-style:
“I am not going to throw a pity party for myself,” he said. “I am going to handle it the right way and go back to business as usual.”
Obviously that’s code for: “I’m going to go back to collecting my paychecks in silence.”
