Bret Boone Still Trying To Sell His Mansion – $9.5 Million

Bret Boone has had horrible luck trying to unload his 12,000+ square feet Rancho Santa Fe, California mansion. It was originally listed in 2011 for $14,000,000. By 2013, it was listed at $9,689,000. Then, the Wall Street Journal reports, that it was rented for the last two years, but that gig is up and it’s going back on the market for $9,500,000.
Some lucky rich guy can finally buy the massive house that he wants, the perfect location and the wild California parties he’s always had in the back of his mind. This is the type of house you move into and never leave, except for Pacific Ocean boating or to the airport.
From the WSJ:

The roughly 12,250-square-foot, seven-bedroom house, plus a guesthouse and tennis court, sit on about 2 acres. There’s a theater, a gym and a barroom with built-in display cases that used to house Mr. Boone’s sports memorabilia. The master bedroom has a two-story closet with a staircase that the family nicknamed “the boutique,” said Mr. Boone.

Two-story closet! That’s how the 1% lives right there.

Other highlights of Bret’s crazy mansion:

• This neighborhood is loaded with athletes…your neighbors are going to keep up their yards
• Two laundry rooms!
Whole Foods is just 9.4 miles
• LAX is 100 miles, so you’ll need to find a local airport for your Gulfstream
• The pool has some sort of grotto thing going on…you’re going to throw wild bashes at this place.
