Nick Saban was clearly sending a message to the assembled media today during his Monday morning press conference. However, we all know that the Bama media plays lap dog to Saban, so this was a direct shot at the national media who think there’s no way Bama can get through the season without that knockout shot second loss.
From AL.com:
“I said before, I believe in our team. I do believe in our team and we’re going to work hard to make our team better. And I hope our players respond the right way.
“And it’s not going to be for you. The fans, yes. Because if it was up to you, we’re six-foot under already. We’re dead and buried and gone, gone.”
Bama is back up to #8 in the AP poll after falling out of the Top 10 due to losing at home to Ole Miss.
And 90% of time Saban's target isn't media. He wants to send message to his team and/or fanbase. Getting angry guarantees clip will be seen.
