After 107 years, a White Sox pitcher has finally broken Ed Walsh’s record of 269 strikeouts in a season — that man, of course, is lefty Chris Sale.
The unlucky batter to become Sale’s 270th victim was Tigers catcher James McCann, who went down looking in the second inning:

Now Sale’s record is obviously impressive, but the one thing I can’t get off my mind from that at-bat is the random 50-mph eephus he threw:
