The Royals Clinch Division, Are Baseball's Most Interesting Team

Growing playoff beards. “Doing it for the boys.” Props. Hot girlfriends. Youth. Crafty veterans. Props. Great interviews. I don’t know what else to say about the Kansas City Royals, but I’ll just throw it out there: the Royals are the closest thing to a hockey team that you’ll get in Major League Baseball. The fans are nuts. The broadcaster(s) — think Rex Hudler — is crazy.
I warned you guys on Thursday. You’re going to be bombarded with Royals coverage over the next few weeks because this franchise is so damn interesting. Take this interview from Danny Duffy last night after the Royals clinched the division.

Then we have the Hos just flaunting Kacie McDonnell at the rest of the A.L.

The fans are fun:

The manager isn’t bad after all

A year ago the national pundits — i.e. baseball bloggers who think they know everything and are normally guys who never get laid — had Ned Yost fired. They were coming after his head saying he was a worthless manager and that he wouldn’t survive after being a disaster in the playoffs. Go back in the Twitter archives. Now he has the team with the best record in the A.L.
All is good now in K.C.

Need I say more about why the Royals should have your attention in the playoffs?
