After teasing a big announcement all week, the New Orleans Pelicans finally put an end to all the mystery today, revealing the return of Mardi Gras themed alternate uniforms.

Warning: There are sleeves.

While we may not be that excited about them (not a flattering combination of colors, if you ask us), the Pelicans really pulled out all the stops for this big ceremony. All the big players came out to model them: Anthony Davis, Ryan Anderson, Jrue Holiday, etc.

Oh, and you can’t say “Pelicans” and “Mardi Gras” without everyone’s favorite seasonal mascot making an appearance — KING CAKE BABY!!!!

Just look at this terrifying life force creep in the distance from a float:

Hey @midnight … Watch out.

Wondering what our special announcement could be?

Tune in to on Thursday at 1PM CST!
