If you think about it, there is very little to gain from attempting to catch foul balls at a baseball game. Yes, there’s momentary glory if you make the catch. However, if you whiff, drunken idiots will shame the hell out of you.
Oh, and there’s also the possibility of missing so badly that the ball just straight up pegs you on the top of the head, which happened to this guy at tonight’s Royals-Indians game:
