I would chalk this up to it being the first week of the season, but they get 4 games to prepare for this stuff and also because it’s the Dolphins and this is the kind of stuff the Dolphins do.
They had about 3 chances to recover this fumble and to no avail.

This is for everyone calling for the NFL to cancel the preseason. It looks like they need at least 5 weeks to work on diving on fumbles. They should be able to play without practice games like the college players who juggle 5 classes along with football, but I guess that’s too much for these guys making millions.
