Justin Turner Steals Second After Helmet Flies Off and Blocks Tag

We’ve seen a lot of great baseball slides to avoid sure outs this week, but Dodgers second baseman Justin Turner (unintentionally) brought out something unique Wednesday night.
During the third inning, the flying ginger attempted to steal second base off Mike Leake, but as you can see above, Buster Posey’s throw beats him to the bag by a mile. However, the money throw was all for naught as Turner’s helmet randomly went flying, obstructing Ehire Adrianza’s tag.

Turner didn’t end up scoring on the play, but he may have given Bryce Harper some ideas while running the bases.
