Francisco Lindor Avoids Tag at Second With Clever Slide

Another day, another awesome baseball slide.
During the eighth inning of tonight’s Indians-Blue Jays game, Francisco Lindor lined a hit to left-center and tested Kevin Pillar’s arm by pushing for a double. As you can see above, Pillar’s throw actually beats Lindor to the bag, but the crafty shortstop pulled up his right arm to avoid Ryan Goins’ tag.

For whatever reason, John Gibbons immediately challenged the call despite Lindor’s obvious display of pleasure with what he pulled off.

Unfortunately for the Indians, Goins would have his revenge in the 10th inning as he delivered walk-off home run for yet another Blue Jays win.
