Chris Mullin Selling California House At A Loss – $2,600,000

Chris Mullin took the St. John’s coaching position so there’s not much need for the 5,500 sq. ft. house in Danville, California that he’s owned since way back in 2001. And here’s the even crazier news to this story: Chris is selling this house AT A LOSS. He just needs to unload it so it’s on the market for $2,600,000. He paid $2,780,000 back in the day.

Don’t worry about Chris, I’m sure St. John’s is taking care of him financially. He’ll be all good.

According to Mullin’s realtor:

Spectacular Northridge Estate! Prime Lot/Loc. Backs up to open space, private, tons of upgrades & open Flr plan. Lrge M/Suite & Office dwn stairs, 2 Fam RM’s 2 Laundry up & dwn. 1 BR/1 BA detached Guest House/Cabana, 5-car Gar.

Key words here: guest house. I don’t know how many of you understand the true value of that guest house. No in-laws driving you nuts. Drunk friends crash there and don’t wake up your kids. Place to hide the nanny. Love a guest house.

Other highlights of Mullin’s California pad:

• 5 bedrooms, 5 bathrooms

• Keep an eye on all the exquisite trim…lots of value there

• That pool is all class, but it needs an upgrade as far as the bar goes…need something closer to the action

• 5.3 miles to the nearest Whole Foods

• 136 miles to Yosemite

Mortgage: You’re looking at $10,000 — at least — per month not including taxes, someone to clean this place and a pool boy. Don’t forget you’re about to pay even more for water.
