Justin Verlander’s “comeback” aside, it’s been a mega downer season for the Detroit Tigers, so much so that one fan couldn’t help but go out and steal bottles of Oxycodone from a CVS pharmacy in Lancaster County.
Oh, and if the Tigers hat wasn’t enough of an identifier, he also wore his best Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles shirt.
The details from ABC 27:
Manheim Township police said two people stole prescription painkillers from the store at 1507 Lititz Pike in the early morning of Aug. 17.
One of the suspects entered the store about 15 minutes before the robbery while wearing a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles t-shirt and a Detroit Tigers baseball cap. He then returned in disguise with another person who was also in disguise, police said.
The suspect with the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles t-shirt displayed a handgun and stole several bottles of Oxycodone from the pharmacist at the rear of the store. The second suspect stood at the front of the store and acted as a lookout, police said.
Suffice it to say, but the Turtles would be so disappointed one of their fans committed this crime.
On the plus side, this is the first time we’ve encountered a guy who brought a lookout, so he can at least hang his hat on doing one thing right.
If you have information, police are offering a $1,000 reward for his capture/conviction.
