Kurt Busch finally has that crazy ex-girlfriend — who was supposedly a trained killer, according to the NASCAR driver — behind him and he’s ready to give love another shot by getting engaged to a polo player named Ashley Van Metre. Kurt, who has the week off, popped the question and it looks like he’s about to get down to business on a marriage. Smart move trading in a crazy trained killer for a polo chick, especially when you’re 37 and at the end of your career.

Van Metre is 24, from Virginia, has been playing polo a long time and likes working out and dirt biking. Seems like these two will have a long, loving marriage. She even has a polo sponsor – LA ISLA – so it’s not like she’s American Express card chasing on Kurt.
Good for Kurt. The lesson here is to move on as fast as possible from a trained killer.
