Despite Joey Votto’s awesomeness and Aroldis Chapman’s orgasmic velocity, it’s been a pretty depressing year for the Reds. 15 games under .500, Johnny Cueto’s gone and the Cubs are going to be good for the foreseeable future — brutal.
However, this storm of sadness wasn’t enough to deter one Reds fan in Columbus from rocking his team’s hat as he attempted to rob a Chase bank. Fortunately for the bank, the robber chickened out before receiving any money from the teller.
The details from NBC4I:
According to the Columbus Division of Police, at about 3:50 p.m. August 12, a man entered the Chase Bank at 3655 North High Street and handed a note to one of the tellers.
However, before receiving any money, the suspect ran from the bank.
Police said the suspect is described as a black male, between 25 to 35-years-old; 5 feet 5 inches to 5 feet 6 inches tall; 140 to 15o pounds; with a goatee and a mustache. He was seen wearing a “Reds” baseball hat, a plain black t-shirt, long baggy denim shorts and black and white shoes.
Such a lose-lose situation here. You attempt to rob a bank, get no money and you’re still wanted by the police.
