This year, there’s been a huge emphasis on people staying alert at all times during baseball games — and rightfully so. With flying bats, baseballs and players it only makes sense to do everything possible make sure you get out of a park unscathed. However, it looks like that vigilant behavior shouldn’t be limited to just baseball games.
During Sunday’s Real Madrid-Valerenga friendly, Marcelo took a shot at goal that ended up sailing wide right and pegging a kid in the face. It sounds sad, but as you can see below, said kid was busy on his lime green smart phone:

A soccer ball to the face may suck, but at least the kid learned a valuable life lesson early: sporting events are dangerous.
