I know, I know…Dez purposely missed because he didn’t really want to connect with Tyler Patmon’s face and break his hand. I get it. That said, could athletes be any worse at throwing punches? Here I thought these guys were trained gladiators who always act like they could kick some ass off the field.
Just wait for a guy like Dez to throw a hook and fall back. Then you come in with your own left and knock his ass out. That’s what Tyler did, but again, the problem is that he’s in the Not For Long league and breaking Dez’s orbital bone will get you cut.
That’s why I can’t take these training camp fights serious. One minute they want to kill each other, the next minute they’re hugging it out and Dez is secretly happy that it was all on film because Cowboys fans will think he’s giving 110% on that new contract.

Of course there are exceptions to the NFL training camp fights. You don’t want to tangle with Steve Smith. He’ll actually land the punch.
