It looks like former Ohio State star Aaron Craft is still very much the gritty nuisance you remember from a couple years ago.
Craft hosted a basketball camp this weekend at Kilbourne High School, where he showed the youth of America that it’s imperative to give 100 percent on the defensive end. As you can see above, Craft is still very much the grindy guard you remember, blocking a little kid’s weak shot attempt.
As far as his NBA, prospects Craft believes “he’s right there” (via Cleveland.com):
So what would it take for him to make it in the NBA?
“I wish I knew,” Craft said. “Obviously, I do what I do. I play defense, I run a team, I put guys in positions to be successful, and the last four months, three months, I’ve been making shots. So I’m doing what I need to do. It’s amazing how much this is a business. It’s timing, it’s contracts, opportunities that some guys get, some guys don’t.
“I think I’m right there.”
