Yankees-Red Sox Fan Wanted for Two Bank Robberies — $5,000 Reward!

Another day, another person who thinks robbing banks in sports gear is a brilliant idea.

Police in Suffolk County are currently on high alert for a Yankees-Red Sox fan wanted for robbing two banks — and attempting to rob another — this month. According to the West Islip Patch, the fairweather fan is being described as a 5’6” Hispanic male in his 40s, with medium build.

Details of his work:

Police say the man pictured above entered People’s United Bank, located at 182 East Main Street in Huntington, on July 14 at 11:51 a.m. and made multiple verbal demands for money; however, the teller did not comply and the man fled the bank.

Twenty-five minutes later, the same man entered TD Bank, located at 2178 Deer Park Avenue in Deer Park and made a verbal demand for money from a teller. The teller complied with the man’s demands and the man fled on foot southbound on Deer Park Avenue.

A week earlier on July 7, the same man entered TD Bank, located at 2025 Broadhollow Road in Farmingdale, and verbally demanded cash from the teller. The teller complied and the man fled on foot.

I have to say, this robber has some serious balls. The report never mentions a weapon of any kind, the guy just walks in with his horrific combination of team affiliations and demands money — and the tellers give in!

If you know where to find the fairweather robber, police are offering a $5,000 cash reward.
