Brandon Phillips’ time as a potent offensive threat at the second base position may be behind him, but goddammit the man is still a wizard on the defensive end.
During the 7th inning of tonight’s Cubs-Reds game, Jorge Soler lined a ball up the middle that could have potentially scored the tying run in Dexter Fowler. Unfortunately for him, Phillips had other things in mind:
