I sat here tonight watching my Tweetdeck light up with angry white guys pissed off at something or another with the Home Run Derby. One minute they love the new format, the next minute they’re bitching that the Derby went over its two-hour ESPN window.
Look, you might think women bitch too much. I can show you a whole timeline of white guys who (1.) Aren’t getting laid (2.) Are miserable assholes (3.) Bitch just to bitch about something.
Not my NSFW Black Dudes. Sure, they don’t really care about the Derby because it’s not real hip in the black community. There’s not the black guy slamming dingers to drag them into the show. However, it’s live TV on ESPN so they show a little interest because it’s the middle of summer and it’s hot as balls outside. You grab a beer and watch some meaningless exhibition featuring some really white dude named Todd Frazier vs. some equally as white Jewish dude named Joc battle it out for a trophy and a Toyota truck.
That’s about as white as it gets, but the BDs got into it. They didn’t bitch like the white guys. These guys are brilliant at finding storylines and riding them until Todd Frazier goes deep with the 15th dong of the Finals and the world title belt.
