The national nightmare of Jose Caballero, 40, banging Elissa Alvarez, 21, on a Florida beach in front of kids is finally over. Jose will get to think about what he’s done over the next 2 1/2 years while sitting in a Florida jail. That’s right, Jose – a convicted cocaine trafficker – has a rap sheet that didn’t help him when it came time for today’s sentencing. He’s going back to jail.
Jose had faced 15 years in the pen for his horrible crime. You can’t just go around banging your girlfriend on a public beach. You just can’t reenact Bang Bros. videos out in the open.
Now these two will have to register as sex offenders.
Jose’s attorney seemed pleased with how the case turned out for his client.
“Do I believe, personally, that 2 1/2 years is something that he should have to do? The answer is no,” Kurpiers said, adding that he was grateful that the prosecution offered the same amount of prison time that they had in a plea deal before trial. “But I was caught between a rock and a hard place.”
