In case you weren’t on planet earth yesterday, ESPN announced that it was not going to renew Bill Simmons’ contract when it ends in May. It wasn’t all that surprising. It seemed like Simmons was getting suspended every month at this point for saying something that the ESPN executives didn’t like.
With any big news story comes a reaction, and the NSFW Black Dudes never disappoint. These were especially hilarious because with Simmons, you either love him or absolutely despise him. There isn’t many people who don’t have an opinion on him. He has an army of fan boys who will follow him to the edge of the Earth no matter what he does or says, while also having large group of people who basically thinks he should die. Not many people in the middle.
We get both ends of the spectrum here, with surprisingly a lot of support for Bill.
