Red Sox fans, now is your chance to take your fandom to a terrifying level. Currently up for auction on eBay is Manny Ramirez’s 1996 Chevy Impala, driven while he was a member of the Sox.
As you can see from the photo above, “Manny Being Manny” outside of Fenway Park was the opposite of incognito, with a bright red car and Red Sox license plate.

Purchased brand new by Major League Baseball Legend, Manny Ramirez who was well known as a Powerhouse Batter for the Boston Red Sox, Cleveland Indians, Los Angeles Dodgers and other teams. This car was always his pride and joy and he took it with him to every state he played baseball. During his tenure with The Boston Red Sox, he sent the car to Falmouth Auto Works in Falmouth, Mass to undergo a comprehensive and complete restoration including major mechanical items and full performance upgrades making this one of the most beautifully detailed and high performance Impala SS’s available in todays market. Although he wanted a no-expense- spared, restoration, we are told that restoration costs were in excess of $35,000, not including the original purchase price of the vehicle. Manny always kept this car in flawless condition, garage kept when not in use and never abused it nor was it ever in an accident. After owning for only 1 year, he was still in love with the car but wanted to make some dramatic changes. He kept the SS until 2004 when he gave it to his father in Florida as a gift.
Not mentioned in the description is the fact that Manny probably had Red Sox legends sitting in this car at some point. David Ortiz and Pedro Martinez are for sure locks, maybe even Kevin Millar. Who knows?!
