You have to give Rex Ryan credit for what he did on the mound Thursday afternoon at the Buffalo Bisons game. The guy made sure he didn’t make a fool out of himself by trying to go from the full windup. Very, very smart.
Sure, the pitch was low and inside, but at least Rex got it there — from the top of the mound. The guy is 52. Those two can usually combine for disaster.
So Rex ended his successful day with a trip to the bar. I’ve said it over and over, this guy is either going to get run out of town or they’ll erect a statue. There’s no middle ground here. Let’s say he gets the team to a division title — statue. Won’t even matter if they win a playoff game.
