Getting tattoos before things actually happen has been very popular recently. Too popular, really. People predicting National Championships and Super Bowls and stuff like that, to the point where it’s gotten ridiculous. At this point it’s all for publicity. You get the tattoo and hope it gets attention (it always does), then your team wins and you can have that sigh of relief, or your team loses and you look like an asshole. This guy didn’t predict anything, he just made a promise and kept it.

That’s why this guy is next level. His tattoo didn’t predict anything, his tattoo is riding on a multi-year commitment and I respect that. What if Jim Harbaugh turns out to be the next Rich Rod? Then he’s stuck with a tattoo of a guy who was supposed to save the program but failed. Or, he could win a National Championship and the tattoo looks genius. It takes balls to do that.
I also love the fact that he used a GoFundMe to pay for this. If he sucks as a coach you can always go back to the excuse that a bunch of random people paid for the tattoo.
