Angels’ Hector Santiago Uses a Putter 70 Yards From the Green

Taking a page from the Justin Verlander spring training playbook, Angels pitcher Hector Santiago hit the links on Tuesday for a round of golf and busted out some unconventional play.
As you can see below, Santiago opted to use is putter — instead of a short iron — “50-70 yards” away from the green. It was shockingly effective:
