On Monday, Hampton basketball coach Edward Joyner Jr. was questioned about the possibility of facing Kentucky should his team defeat Manhattan. Like a smart man, he turned towards Jesus:
Hampton coach Edward Joyner Jr. on possibly playing Kentucky: "You've got to hope you've got Jesus on speed dial."

It turns out reporters weren’t jumping the gun when they asked Joyner about playing Kentucky, because Hampton edged out Manhattan 74-64 Tuesday night.
After the game, Joyner was expectedly questioned about Kentucky again — this time, he called Jesus (to no avail):
Hampton coach Edward Joyner Jr. just tried to call Jesus in press conference. "Hello? Hello?"

Hampton coach Edward Joyner said he had Jesus on speed dial, "called" him during presser to ask about odds vs. Kentucky. Jesus hung up.

After "Jesus" hung up on Edward Joyner, the Hampton coach cracked: "I guess he'll get back to me." Funny stuff.

Looks like we’re officially on “Jesus Watch.”
