This is exactly the kind of photo (from @nelldie) that gets me excited. Seven years into this job, I’ve pretty much seen everything there is to see from Kate Upton…and Justin Verlander. I need something a little more exciting. I need a look into their real lives. I need to see what they’re buying at the grocery store. Thankfully @nelldie was at an undisclosed Publix this week at around 5 p.m. when she ran into the power couple stocking up on jugs of drinking water.
See, this is exactly the kind of thing I’m not expecting. Water jugs. Who buys water jugs these days? You go to your fridge, push your cup against the auto-water faucet and you’re set. Not Upton and JV. They’re still a water jug couple. The guy has made $86,515,000 so far during his career and is a water jug guy.
And that sure looks like a Publix spring water label.
As for the rest of the cart, that sure looks like a kale bag with other greens. I have no idea what hip greens models are eating these days. Maybe chard. The good news here is that there’s no evidence of garbage like a half-dozen box of glazed chocolate donuts. Someone needs to stay in shape.
