We all know the New York Knicks are a special type of disaster. Since they’re a big market franchise, we get to listen to the Worldwide Leader pick apart Derek Fisher, Carmelo, and “The Triangle” ad nauseam.
That’s the perspective from the outside looking in, but if you’re a player on the Knicks, it can’t be that bad, right? You still get to play professional basketball and earn millions—unless you’re a crazy person obsessed with winning, it’s a pretty sweet deal.
Knicks center Jason Smith gets it. He racks up minutes he wouldn’t get elsewhere, pads his stats, and dances up a storm in his downtime. It’s the perfect situation for him:
