If you’re an Alabama fan who doesn’t really care about how former players perform in the NFL, then we have the perfect piece of memorabilia for you. Currently up for auction on eBay is Trent Richardson’s 2011 ESPN All-American Player of the Week trophy, which was awarded on Nov. 26, 2011.
Every die hard Bama probably remembers this date fondly as they crushed Auburn in the Iron Bowl 42-14. And Trent’s stats in this game? A gaudy 208 total yards (203 rushing) and one receiving touchdown.

Available for sale is a 2011 Alabama Crimson Tide Football “AT&T ESPN ALL-AMERICAN PLAYER OF THE WEEK” Player Issued Trophy-#3 Trent Richardson-Starting RB!! Trophy is in Mint Condition and is made from solid granite. Trophy weighs approximately 10lbs. Trophy was awarded to #3 Trent Richardson for his athletic performance in the “Iron Bowl” Game against Auburn on November 26, 2011. Awarded each week to the Nations All-American Player of the Week by ESPN and AT&T. Only one player in the nation receives this award each week during the regular season! Richardson received this one during rivalry week. Very nice and a VERY rare piece.
As for why Trent didn’t keep this trophy, we can’t say for sure. What we do know is that he might be out of a job soon with the Colts trying to void his deal for “detrimental conduct.” Or, you know, they could just outright cut him for underperforming and not play this, “How dare he not call us while dealing with his wife’s premature labor” card.
