College basketball needs to change something
Remember when college basketball started to matter by mid-February when there were huge games every Monday night? Last night, Virginia led Pitt 25-15 at halftime in the big game of the night on ESPN. 15 friggin’ points at half. I know, I know…Virginia’s defense is soooo amazing and they literally shut you down…blah, blah, blah. West Virginia beat Kansas in the other big game… 62-61. College basketball has become a five week season. You can start watching in early March and feel like you’ve been paying attention since November. Drop the shot clock to :30. Take away timeouts. Quit calling charges every other time down the court. Do something. The dog show was more interesting than Pitt-Virginia.

Guess I’ll just start keeping my savings under the mattress.
Numbers from @ESPNStatsInfo:
Pittsburgh’s 15 points in the first half tonight vs Virginia are the fewest points scored by a Pitt team in a half since Dec. 4, 2009 .
