Mike Napoli Wrecks Joe Kelly in Twitter Exchange

After predicting he’d win the AL CY Award this season, it only makes sense that Red Sox pitcher Joe Kelly is amped to get down to Florida for some Spring Training. (Nothing like PFP’s baby!!!!)
In fact, Kelly was so excited he took to Twitter to find out who from Sox Nation is making the trek:

Teammate Mike Napoli came across this tweet and played along with an emoji:

Seems like it’s going to be a playful exchange, right? WRONG. Kelly somehow took the cute “girl wave” emoji and straight up dropped a sex change joke—with the #BruceJenner to boot!

This appropriately led to Napoli crushing the conversation by playing the World Series ring hammer card:

Folks, this is the type of stuff that makes Napoli a Busted Coverage Hall of Famer. The ring card will always be there for him, but to throw it on the finger of a hot girl to add another level of insult to the burn is just Naps being Naps.
(For anyone unaware, Kelly lost to Napoli’s Sox in the 2013 World Series while he was a Cardinal.)
Expectedly, Kelly was a little butthurt about it:

Which gave Mike a chance to take one more shot before playing nice:
