Hannah Ferguson, the Sports Illustrated swimsuit model who made headlines in 2014 for coming from the home of Marines — her mother was a drill instructor, dad was a sniper — is back for the 2015 issue. Ferguson, 23, told Fox & Friends that her upbringing was fairly strict and that she had dreams of one day appearing in the magazine.
“We weren’t allowed to paint our nails or get our ears pieced until we were 15,” Ferguson said. “And certainly not to date!”
She added, “It was pretty strict growing up, but I mean, I can’t complain. But I think me and my siblings – I’m one of five – we’ve turned out pretty well.”
Eight years later Ferguson has swimsuit photos taken along Route 66, which cuts through Texas, in the 2015 issue. SI dedicated this year’s issue to a tour of great American destinations and has an awesome new site where you can the photos and videos from the road trip. There’s a section on body paint, athletes and even a section called “Behind the Tan Lines” where you can find outtakes and Hannah Ferguson and friends drive farmers and the locals crazy in a variety of swimsuits.
