Marc Gasol Out Here Trying to Bring the Header to Basketball

I’m not exactly breaking news when I say the Grizzlies’ Marc Gasol is the best center in the NBA. Low post game, passing, defense, rebounding, free throw shooting, etc.—you name it, he’s damn good at it. But Gasol showed off a part of his game we’ve never seen Monday night, his soccer-related skills.
After getting fouled by Nikola Vucevic in the second quarter, Gasol bounced the basketball on his head a total of four times before attempting to head it in. He failed but all of us are quite fascinated anyway!

If you think about it, it’s been a while since we’ve seen solid soccer play on the hardwood. The most notable thing I remember is Steve Nash heading basketballs to Amar’e Stoudemire in the 2005 NBA Slam Dunk Contest:
