Australian Samantha Stosur was knocked out of the Australian Open today, but she became famous around the world as the muscular women’s tennis player who has a sculpted upper body. Stosur, 30, isn’t new to the WTA. She has six career tour titles and won the 2011 U.S. Open.
But it was the above photo from Getty photographer Cameron Spencer that put Stosur on the Internet’s radar. It was taken during Stosur’s first round match against Monica Niculescu. Stosur’s guns look just like what Tim Tebow had going on a few years ago during a golf tournament. Guns for days.
The lesson: If you want to go viral, make sure you’re ripped and playing a sport where there will be a flex involved while a photographer is taking pics. Internet gold.
