Miss Canada 2014 Chanel Beckenlehner pulled out all the stops for the “National Costume Round” at the Miss Universe Preliminaries Wednesday night.
Instead of going hardcore with an all-denim Canadian tuxedo or Mountie outfit, Beckenlehner stayed true to her country’s real heritage and flaunted a hockey-inspired outfit. We’re talking hockey sticks as angel wings, maple leaf on the chest, goalie stick, a scoreboard and standard Stanley Cup tiara. It truly was a sight to behold.
Despite the hockey costume, Beckenlehner’s Miss Universe profile reveals that she’s actually a golf nut:
Chanel is an avid golfer. Each season, she tries to get in at least 30 rounds. She is looking forward to playing a round at the Trump National Doral Golf Club.
