A 23-year-old man is pretty lucky to be alive after getting attacked in New Zealand over the weekend.
According to News.com.au, the man was sitting in his car when he was met with punches and a metal rod. Somehow said rod became embedded in his head during the ordeal, but he was super cool about the whole thing and drove himself to a nearby gas station:
“He just walked in with the rod in his head and I was just like, ‘Is that a drum stick in your head?’” he told 3 News. “And he was like, ‘Nah, it’s a rod.’”
You won’t find a more blasé attitude about a rod-in-head situation than that. Video footage of the man in the gas station can be seen below:

I’m not going to lie, it was pretty fascinating to watch this guy interact with the customers walking in and out of the station. You’d think there would be some people flipping out and acting hysterically, but nope. Way to keep cool, New Zealand.
