By a show of hands, who saw Jimmy Butler’s epic breakout season with the Chicago Bulls coming? The guy has been has been an absolute revelation this season, averaging personal career highs in most offensive categories (21.9 points, 6.2 rebounds, 3.3 assists)—plus playing stellar defense.
Butler was up to his usual tricks Monday night, dropping 22 points (and logging a ridiculous 41 minutes) in the Bulls’ 114-105 victory over the Rockets. He also showed some flash in the second quarter, slamming home a pretty nice alley-oop over Dwight Howard.
