Cardale Jones could never play another down at Ohio State and the guy wouldn’t have any problem making money for the rest of his life. You win a Big Ten Championship game on six days notice, take the Buckeyes to the college football playoff and you can become a car dealer for life in this state. In fact, you can open several car dealerships in Columbus and never actually work a day in your life. Just walk around as Cardale Jones, the guy who saved the Buckeyes when it appeared the season was over after J.T. Barrett went down.
So it shouldn’t come as a surprise that Cardale was rocking an “Easy Money” shirt this past weekend on High Street.
I’ll just lay it all on the table: Cardale Jones is my new favorite college football quarterback. Marcus Mariota is a complete bore. Blake Sims has a kid and seems like he’s 35. Bo Wallace flamed out on me. Cardale comes alone and throws 70-yard bombs like he’s throwing a dart at a bullseye…and he’ll go out on High Street wearing the Easy Money shirt (it’s an actual brand).
What do we need more of in college football? Personalities. I don’t want robots who won’t take a selfie with his fellow students. We N-E-E-D a new Johnny Manziel. Cardale Jones just might be the guy to save us from boredom and remind us that these guys don’t get a paycheck to make coaches millionaires.
