Last week, Nebraska defensive end Jack Gangwish saw a raccoon on the side of the road and thought, “Hey, it’d be pretty cool if I took a selfie with that thing!” Of course, he ended up getting bitten and had to kill the thing so he could test it for rabies (he tested negative).
Unfortunately for Gangwish, this story isn’t over, because everyone’s favorite animal rights group, PETA, wants AD Shawn Eichorst to punish him.

Yeah … you just knew that was coming—PETA is pretty much like the CIA for animals.
Way to go, Jack. Now your school is going to be hounded by PETA until every student athlete undergoes “empathy training.” It will certainly be interesting to see if the Women’s Rifle team partakes in that.
