Phillies Fan Throws Shade At GM Ruben Amaro on His Baseball Reference Page

The offseason is always an unsettling time for Philadelphia Phillies fans.
At any second, general manager Ruben Amaro can do something stupid. Whether it’s getting shafted in a trade, signing ancient free agents, or dishing out an unneeded extension—the odds are always high for something head-scratching.
A reader at Beerleaguer, a Phillies blog, decided to have some fun at Amaro’s expense (and his own) by placing an ad on the GM’s Baseball Reference page. The tasteful slight pays ode to Amaro’s propensity for overpaying players.

In case that text was tough to read:

BRef wanted $15 to sponsor this page, but in Ruben’s honor I ponied up $75 on a three-year deal with a vesting option. 2015 can’t come soon enough!

Almost perfect, Phillies fan.
An additional—but very unneeded—buyout for the vesting option would have been icing on the cake.
